Coaching for Writers

If you want to develop your writing, you can certainly google for advice. But if you’re looking for more personalized help as well as a little bit of encouragement, I provide coaching for a select number of clients. Primarily, I am interested to work with people dedicated to improving their craft and cultivating writing as a spiritual vocation.

With an MA in Literature and an MFA, I have taught writing at both the high school and college levels. For more than a decade, I’ve worked as a freelance writer, and three of my five books have won major awards. Most importantly, I have the desire to see clients experience the joy and satisfaction of meeting their growth goals. References and rates are available upon request.

I do not provide edits for book-length projects, nor can I provide advice on traditional publishing proposals. However, I can help you:

  1. Discern vocational questions

  2. Articulate writing goals

  3. Identify habits and practices for achieving your goals

  4. Answer publishing FAQs

  5. Work on craft elements

  6. Develop an essay

  7. Provide recommendations for learning resources
